Applications
A fixed excavator manipulator can be installed on the front of various excavator models (6-40 tons). Without changing the original machine's operating system or functionality, simply remove the excavator's bucket and reinstall the manipulator. This allows for the grabbing of materials such as stone, steel, and wood. The manipulator's operating angle can be adjusted during the grabbing process by adjusting the boom and arm angles. The only drawback of this type of manipulator is that it can only handle materials from the front. For applications involving disorganized materials, a rotary manipulator is recommended.
Definition
Manipulators are among the earliest industrial robots and the earliest modern robots. They can replace heavy human labor, enabling mechanization and automation of production. They can operate in hazardous environments to protect human safety, and are therefore widely used in sectors such as machinery manufacturing, metallurgy, electronics, light industry, and atomic energy.
A fixed excavator manipulator is a fixed-direction working device installed on the front of an excavator as a working attachment for grabbing materials such as stone, steel, and wood.
